Bead Soup 8 Reveal

A couple weeks ago I let you know I was participating in my first bead soup hosted by Lori at Pretty Things. I've had a great time thinking outside my comfort zone to use the beautiful beads I was sent by Elaine at Too Aquarius. Here's what I've created so far.

The focal was an incredible handmade clay bead, which I accented with some blue, green, and yellow wooden beads. I then used a silver chain to finish the piece.

This piece was the most outside my comfort zone but also the most fun. I used chain and some beads from my stash with the beautiful handmade flowers to create a bracelet and matching earrings.

I just love these little birds and so wanted to do something to feature them. I turned them into simple cluster pendants by adding some glass beads and a charm.

My last piece included my clasp but I forgot to get a photo of it. This necklace has two layers and is quite a statement. I also made simple earrings to match.

I still have quite a few beautiful beads left to work with so I'm sure you'll see more pieces when school is out and life calms down again. In the mean time, I'm trying to decide which new piece I like best. What do you think? Which is your favourite?

  10. I love the little birdy pendants- so cute! My fav is the first one with the clay bead. I think the colors give it a vintage feel, but the chain and composition make it modern, and that's why I love it. :) Gorgeous work!

  12. I liked all the pieces, but that blue flower bracelet is just amazing! I really love that! Did you make the chain for the pieces? I am curious how many people make their own chain. I sadly do not, I am so clumsy anyway and I have just never mastered it... or the patience it takes!
    Love everything!

  27. Everything I've seen so far makes it hard to decide which would be my favorite, really like last one with big pendant and very delicate beads on other part of chain, so pretty. Did you make the blue flower beads? They are so beautiful. You are very talented jewelry maker, have eye for what goes well together. Colors are all so eye catching. Happy days
